A pit stop as a coffee shop manager soon turned into an Etsy side hustle. After work at her day job and while being a new mother and supporting her graduate school husband, she sold handmade pillows, art prints, and onesies, and worked in the margins of her already busy life. Coffee and a “never give up” attitude led to the creation of Gingiber. Today, her art and products are showcased in over 1,000 brick-and-mortar shops. Through her art, she continues to inspire and uplift, adding a touch of joy and creativity to the lives of those who embrace Gingiber's heartfelt magic.

Growing up, Mable faced a classic artist's dilemma – the clash of wanting to live a life as a creative with the 'get-a-real-job' chorus from her conservative Asian parents.

With unwavering determination, she embarked on a creative journey that involved countless hours of hard work and dedication. Balancing her passion with the responsibilities of motherhood, she honed in on her skills and inched closer to her dream by creating hundreds of repeat pattern every. single. day.

A highlight of her career was when she collaborated with Target Australia, where her creations was on everything from bedding to mugs, prints to towels. Another memorable project was when she collaborated with her dream client, RICE, a brand she had admired for over a decade, making her designs a part of their cherished products.
